Family Fitness Fun Night
Thanks to everyone who helped make this event so worthwhile!
Donations, volunteers, and parent/child participation were all done in our typical fun Rosy Mound fashion!
Help For Haiti
Rosy Mound Fifth Graders want to continue the Grand Haven Public School District’s efforts in sending aid to Haiti and they are asking you to join them!
On February 19th, students collected pop can donations and sold buttons to help Haiti.
They would like to continue to raise funds each month for the remainder of the school year. Continue to save your returnable pop cans for this great cause each month. Each month, be on the look- out for where/when their next drop site will be. Rosy Mound families have repeatedly shown such generosity and compassion for those in need! Thank you in advance for your continued commitment!

Rosy Kids Go Green Assembly
Kids enjoyed Friday's "Go Green" assembly with special guest Maranda from Wood TV8. We were kicking off a month long “Go Green” challenge asking students to live a little greener both at school and at home. A few special treats included a visit from a Priority Health Cyclist, the Grand Haven High School Green Team and the Grand Haven High School Green Guys!! Read more here...

Child Safety Alert
As parents, you experience pressures and concerns not faced by previous generations. Despite these challenges, many parents make heroic efforts to raise healthy children in safe environments despite uncertain times. Child safety becomes paramount.
PTA offers you several tools to help you gauge potential risks and advice on giving clear instructions to your children on how to avoid such risks.
Parents are not alone in making child safety a priority. Many school officials and community members are working with families to create a safe environment where children can flourish and grow, free from violence, drugs, gangs and other threats. With the necessary resources, support, and guidance, all of us can make a difference in our homes, schools and communities.
This is why National PTA has partnered with Consumer Reports and the National School Boards Association to form the School Safety Alert Program.
The School Safety Alert program located at www.consumerreports.org/schoolsafety will alert parents, school administrators, and educators immediately to imminent dangers and allow them to remove potentially dangerous even lethal products from their homes and schools.
